RePo series offer portable Refracto Polarimeters – compact and light instruments that serve as both refractometers and polarimeters. Being able to measure index of refraction and optical rotation angle, RePo series is making the invisible, visible. Brix alone can only indicate the total amount of dissolved solids in a solution. However, with RePo series, it is possible to determine if a product has been adulterated (e.g. if it contains glucose instead of fructose) by measuring the optical rotation. This feature makes the series excellent for honey and sugar industry, analyzing of fragrances and inverted sugar syrups as well as medicine.
