The new Retsch cutting mill SM 200 is a powerful and easily operated instrument for efficient primary and fine size reduction. Cleaning is made particularly simple. It is the universal standard model among Retsch’s cutting mills, which covers a vast range of applications with its strong 2.2 kW drive and 1,500 rpm rotor speed. When operated with the optional cyclone-suction-combination, SM 200 is also suitable for grinding light sample materials or smaller quantities. Combined the wide choice of bottom sieves, hoppers and collecting vessels, the SM 200 mill can be easily adapted to varying application requirements.

Specification
SM 300

Owing to the powerful 3 kW drive with high torque and the RES technology, the Retsch Cutting Mill SM 300 excells in the tough jobs where other cutting mills fail. Its variable speed from 100 to 3,000 min-1 allows for seamless adaptation to application requirements. A range of bottom sieves with aperture sizes ranging from 0.25 – 20 mm is available, ensuring a defined fineness.

Specification
SM 400

The Retsch Cutting Mill SM 400 is designed for primary cutting of large sample pieces up to 170 x 220 mm, but can also achieve the required final fineness in one step, depending on the application. The features include:

  • Powerful size reduction owing to the 3 kW drive
  • Suitable for heat-sensitive materials
  •  Quick and easy cleaning thanks to fold-back hopper and smooth surfaces
